Literally the word Fiqh means to know, to understand, and to grasp something. The term Fiqh is associated with the ability of acquiring the Islamic sciences and having deep understanding of the faith. Jurisprudence is all about the understanding through logic and arguments whether some action is Farz, Wajib, Mustahab, Mubah, forbidden or undesirable.
In this course, the students are taught basic Islamic injunctions concerning everyday worship, invocations, purification and basic pillars of Islam, thus enabling them to understand the commandments of Islam and their observance.
